About the Pastor:

The Lord saved my unworthy soul on a Saturday night in the Fall of 2003. He led me to join Calvary Missionary Baptist Church the following year and they baptized me at Sunset River in November, 2004. The Lord called me to preach when I was 15 years old on Sunday, August 3rd, 2005 during the Missouri Youth Weekend at Calvary MBC in Bolivar, MO. I wasn't able to stand on it and tell the church until over a year later in September 2006, whereupon the churches started calling upon me to preach as a visiting preacher. Calvary licensed me to preach in the years to follow and I was ordained to the full ministry of the Gospel by Calvary MBC in Bolivar, MO in March, 2013. The first church God allowed me to serve as pastor was Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Cedar County, Missouri.  The Lord has since allowed me to preach in many places, including Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Missouri, Arkansas, Kentucky, Tennessee, Kansas, and now Alaska.

In July of 2023, the Lord put a heavy burden on me (and my wife, Chantel) to accept the calling to pastor The Anchor Missionary Baptist Church and to move to Anchorage, Alaska.  In light of this surrender, we both notified our school administrators of our intent to resign (we both were employed as school music teachers in Missouri). Her school board voted to let her out of her contract, but mine did not, so I fulfilled a one-year contract to teach music for the 23-24 school year. Despite not being able to move right away, we still held services with the church over google meet. When the school year ended in May of 2024, we relocated to Anchorage, AK with our new son, Noah. We have currently been serving The Anchor MBC, in person, since June of 2024.
